Why Skin Feels Tight after Cleansing—and What to Change

Short answer: Skin that feels tight after cleansing is often reacting to removal of surface lipids, surfactant residue, hot water, long washing or friction. A brief fresh sensation is different from tightness that persists, stings or worsens when moisturiser is applied. Does tight skin mean my face is clean?
